He worked as an electrical contractor and owned Daveken Electric Co. for 31 years.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Stayton and a former member of the Springfield church. He was also a member of the Obsolete Fleet Chevy Club, and owned a 1957 Chevrolet.

His interests included hunting, drawing, traveling and spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Cynthia Jackson and Jackie Davis-Ballard, both of Lebanon; three sisters, Diana Traver of Twin Falls, Idaho, Cheri Borders of Eugene, and Karen Elrod of Hoschton, Ga.; and three granddaughters.

She moved to Springfield from Detroit in 1948.

She served in the U.S. Navy WAVES during World War II.

She worked for the Springfield School District and Lane Community College.

She participated in many organizations, including the Cascade Seafarers, League of Women Voters, Willy Whippets, McKenzie-Willamette Hospital Auxiliary, Festival of Trees, Springfield Public Library, Filbert Festival and Willamalane Senior Center.

She enjoyed art, especially pottery, and she volunteered as a poll worker for the Lane County Elections Department.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Vance of Eugene and Stephen of Gresham; three daughters, Lynn Antich of Cosmopolis, Wash., and Elizabeth Beyer and Peggy Bridges, both of Springfield; a brother Stephen Schang of Detroit; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Mitchell was born July 16, 1904, in Eldorado, Wis., to Samuel and Clyde Mitchell Morse. She married the Rev. Donald Mitchell in Racine, Wis., on Aug. 2, 1927. He died March 14, 1991.

She lived in Eugene for 40 years.

She graduated from Ripon College in Ripon, Wis. She taught English literature and later worked as a homemaker and pastor's wife.

She was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church and a charter member of the Eugene Symphony Guild.

Survivors include two daughters, Carol Higgins of Circleville, Ohio, and Donna Snyder of Eugene; a brother, Marquis Morse of De Kalb Junction, N.Y.; and four grandchildren.

Kulick lived in New York City from 1923 to 1949, then moved to Denver. In 1952, he moved to Belmont, Calif. He moved to Eugene in 1974.

While living in California, Kulick worked at the Redwood City Tribune and was a head machinist at the San Francisco Chronicle. After moving to Eugene, Kulick worked as a computer technician at the University of Oregon Print Shop. He retired in 1988.

His interests included computers and skiing. He was an active member and elder of the South Hills Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Eugene.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lois Haanen of Eugene; and two grandchildren.

She began working for the University of Oregon's library system in 1979. She was the associate professor non-book and monograph cataloger. She served as chairwoman of the Oregon Library Association's Technical Services Round Table.

Smith enjoyed the outdoors, especially skiing. She was a member of the Northwest Civil War Council and enjoyed participating in re-enactments of Civil War battles. She was also a member of the National Ski Patrol System and the National Rifle Assocation, and was a life member of the Single Action Shooting Society. She was a board member of the Roseburg Rod and Gun Club.

Survivors include her husband; her parents of Indianapolis; a son, Robert of Klamath Falls; and two brothers, Mark Murphy of Annapolis, Md., and Peter Murphy of Indianapolis.

He lived in Seattle, Bellevue, Wash., and Coupeville, Wash., before moving to Coburg in 1989. He moved to Junction City in 2000.

He worked as a welder, and retired from the Southern Pacific Railroad Co.

His interests included fishing, building doll houses and photography.

Survivors include a son, Leon of Graham, Wash.; two stepdaughters, Julie Heath of Junction City and Linda Hanson of Poulsbo, Wash.; 13 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
